This recipe may be perfect for your baby. Your older children will love it too!
5 medium apples. 1/2 cup of water, a pinch of cinnamon
- Wash the apples, then peel them. Your toddler and preschooler can help with these tasks, respectively.
- Core the apples, then dice them. Your school-age child can do this second task.
- Combine the diced apples, water and cinnamon in a large saucepan and bring to a gentle boil. Lower heat and simmer for 4 minutes.
- Use a potato masher to crush the diced apples. Simmer for two more minutes, until the consistency is like a sauce.
- Place in a bowl and allow to cool in refrigerator overnight. Makes 4-6 servings.
